We pay for 100mbps download speed and 10mb upload speed, recently about 3 weeks ago our internet has become very, very slow. I used to be downloading at about 8-10mbps on the 2.4ghz network and about 12-16mbps on the 5ghz network. Recently our internet has not even come close to those speeds, not very many people are on the internet at one time, and i've never had this problem before. Our internet speeds have been dropping to as low as 500kbps, which makes downloading games and playing games while others stream and download very difficult. We've called Rogers several times and they say nothing is wrong. I'm not sure if I should request a new modem or something. I don't have very much knowledge about networks and such, but thanks in advance.
