Hi i posted awhile ago and need some help. I've read various troubleshooting guides on here with no help. My computer died while i was playing a game and wouldn't turn on. I sent it into the RMA department and started using my backup computer. Which was fine for a few days but wouldn't turn on one day. So i bought a new motherboard hooked up 2 PSUs with no power. i tried everything from using one ram to making sure everything was snug and connected. I'm out of ideas

motherboards: MSI Z97-G45 - old one at the shop
New: MSI H81M-E34

PSU: Rosewill 1000w bronze and Corsair 600w

GPU- Geforce 550ti and Geforce 970

CPU i5-4790k

RAM Corsair DDR3 1600

I've interchanged about everything but left the GPU out. I'm getting 0 power or lights

Okay so i hooked up the new motherboard with one stick of ram, the PSU, CPU and the CPU fan. I have the cpu power and 24 pin connected the PSU is on I and i'm plugged into the wall and still no power or lights. I even tried different outlets and the "lamp test"

Solution
Thank you for all your help. Apparently I just needed to connect the power button on the front of the tower to the MB. Everything i read said it didn't need to be. None the less thank you for replying

Yes i've used the same CPU on the old MB and the new one. I tested both PSU on the old and new MB with no power. The Corsair 600w was working on my old old MB(10+ years) for a few days but i came home one day tried to turn it on and again no power. Now that had a different MB and different CPU (AMD Phenom). Only thing I can think of is to buy a new CPU or take it to a local computer shop. I bought the new MB because it was relatively cheap and i hate being without a computer. I'm desperate for help. I feel like i'm missing something

Yes I tested it and no luck. So I have 2 computers one is newer.

MB:MSI Z97-G45
CPU: i5-4790k
GPU: MSI GTX 970
RAM: Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600
PSU:Rosewill 1000w Bronze

in one tower and in another tower I had a 10 year old MB with AMD Phenom CPU and Geforce 550ti and Corsair 600w.

I recently order and recieved the MSI H81 today and tried hooking it up to both PSU and no luck.

Err, so if I get this right, all your computers are currently dead? The one containing the Rosewill died suddenly. And the one with the corsair too? Then I suggest getting a new PSU....?

Why did you order a new motherboard, simply for more inputs/overclocking? The motherboard is the last piece to change usually.

Well initially when my first computer died i hooked up my other PSU to it to see if my PSU was bad. It didn't work either. So i hooked them up to both my old computer and they turned on.

Sent in my old MB to RMA department and was using my old computer. Then after a few days my old computer stopped working. I tried various troubleshooting guides on here i.e. setting CMOS battery, hooking up only bare minimum to MB and still nothing now on BOTH computers. So i have a brand new MB which means that it's not the problem.

I'm guessing it's the CPU could be the PSU but i need a working computer to interchange my parts and see what's defective.

I bought the new MB because it was 40$ and i wanted a better back up computer. I'll probably return it and put that money towards whatever is broken

Hmm, it sounds as if both PSU were defective, but that's pretty sketchy. Your best bet right now is finding a new PSU and testing it out. Any PSU will be fine to test, as long as it is 500W or more, rated.
