Has Windows 10 and newer technologies made the older AMD phenom II CPU's perform better in some way?

I've recently being using a little mini ITX Phenom II X6 1035t PC (which i bought as an OEM system for a $100 and transferred to a mini itx case with ssd) for work and multimedia and it for some reason seems to be running smoother and more stable than my newer pc's. It starts up quicker and than my i7 6700 &z170-d3h ddr4 system and just seems rly snappy.

I've had the pleasure of owning or using most newer CPU's as i build alot of pc's for other ppl or to sell. Ive had all the skylake i5's with nvme ssd's and most of the 4th gen intels too plus FX CPU's. Its not like my 6700 is under performing... its just this phenom seems so darn good. Im confused.

There's really not a big difference in performance between the last hexacore Phenom II and "current" FX CPUs. It's not something to be amazed of, it's just that marketing and intel's advertisement budget are way more powerful than their hardware. They managed to make us think that older CPUs are not powerful enough, but take into account that you are talking about one of the highest end CPUs in the market from a few years back. It may not be at the same level as any i7, but it IS quite powerful for its age. I remember that hexa/octa core CPUs didn't really perform that great back in the day, but after a few updates, microsoft did implement some performance improvements, but that was when W7 started fading away from the market (I still...

I sometimes think computers are somewhat organic. Like they vibe with us.. like if you have a messy room, your pc doesnt work as well etc.. i dunno if this system just has some kinda pixie dust thing to it or not.

Most people would just buy a new computer and therefore, there's not a lot of people testing performance and talking about older hardware such as your phenom II with current OS releases.

Well that's the same thing i see with a lot of Intel E5700 CPU's.
But when i think about, how i use my personal PC and those office workstations, well they perform good for simple tasks.
Since W10 you gain about 20-30% performance compared to W7.
When i installed W10 for first time and compared it to W7, well difference in performance is huge.
As long as u don't have updates waiting xD
