Stuttering after installing new GPU

I bought a gtx 1070 to replace my old 660ti, and when playing GTAV and Battlefield my game will start stuttering very hard and the sound in my headset will cut in and out. I'm wondering if my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU too hard or if its a different issue.

Specs: Windows 10 64 bit
ASRock H61M-DGS (CPUSocket)
GTX 1070 FTW 8gb
Intel I7 2600
8gb DDR3
1000watt PSU

What PSU? did you connect PSU power cable properly? sounds like your asrock is starving your evga, try different axtu setting like disabling energy saver.

Did you uninstall the old graphics drivers before upgrading or did you let window find the drivers for you !
I always use this program whenever I change graphics cards

It will clear out all signs of the old drivers and let you start fresh .
