Can anyone tell me how many gpus can this psu run?

am looking to buy this 1200 w psu but am hearing it can use up to 3 gpus but i will have 5 gpus in the end, need to know if this can handle it and what exactly do i look for when looking for a psu to run 5 graphics cards considering all gpus use need two power connectors or any anyone had any recommendations

It depends on the video cards. The number of PCIe power plugs is what you need to look at. If you have 5 200 watt video cards, a 1200 watt PSU is not enough. Even a 1300 is pushing things, you want about a 25% distance between system power and PSU rating, for a good PSU to be safe.
That is a low tier brand, I would not run anything pricey one one of those.

Seasonic, higher series Antec, EVGA and Corsair models, XFX are the main brands you want to look at.

What motherboard and case will you be using?

Let's say 200 watts per card, you have 1k of power you want just for those, so I would not use a 1200 watt power supply there. 1500.

You may need to use two power supplies.
