HTC 10 vs Pixel XL

I currently have a HTC 10 and have been looking at the Pixel and debating whether or not to upgrade from my HTC 10. Money isn't really an issue here just how much better is the camera and overall experience on the Pixel the 10 just over exposes too much for my liking and I want the fast updates and google assistant.

I would see it as a sidegrade. You would lose micro sd expansion, the dac and htc features/software but gain some form of water resistance, an amoled screen and the google assistant.
With the htc 10, it's not a point and shoot camera as you do need to adjust some settings if you want a perfect picture or go into pro mode.
See if you can find a pixel XL or store to demo with or a friend that has one.
