Windows 98 Processor Limit

So I was in the process of building my ultimate Windows 98 gaming rig with an Intel Pentium 4 clocked at 2.0 GHz when someone recommended a faster processor for the build. So I'm wondering is there a processor speed limit to Windows 98? Would a 2.2 GHz be fine for Windows 98 without issues? I heard W98 has issues running on processors faster than 2.2 GHz.

Do you user Windows 98 (first edition, or short: "W98FE"), or Windows 98 "Second Edition", or short: W98SE
The former cannot use CPUs with more that 2.1 HGz out-of-the-box, the latter doesn't care.
I use a 4GHz AMD FX 8350 (8-core/125W TDP) with W98SE (it only uses one core, of course).

For W98FE (and W95), there are fixes (i did not test them):
