I found a steal on this mobo ($60) but the onboard is broken apparently. I assume audio will be carried from the gfx card/hdmi normally.

But my real question is if a razer kraken 3.5mm jacks are plugged into a razer keyboard and that is plugged in via usb on the front headers will audio still be carried through the headset? or is that still dependent on the onboard audio?

Solution
MSI Z170M Mortar
Onboard Audio
Audio Chipset: Realtek ALC892
Audio Channels: 8 Channels

Controlled by
1 x Optical S/PDIF OUT connector
5 x OFC audio jacks

In addition,
Onboard Graphics
• 1 x HDMI

This sound device is the Intel processor sound.

The driver is included in the On-Board VGA Drivers package.

Also, most graphics cards include a sound chip for HDMI audio.
Multiple Sound devices are managed in Windows control panel.

For USB audio, I'm guessing that will be Intel sound from the CPU.
