My computer recently started making a weird noise when it starts up. When I turn it on it makes a loud revving noise and either A) shuts down on me, or B) my computer starts up and runs with no problems. I though maybe it was a bad connection to the PSU but that is not it. I havent checked the fans yet. and I think the HDD is making a weird noise but more of a humming not a grinding. Could it possibly be the CPU? I have an AMD FX 8350 and I have it OC to 4.4 GHz and it was running stable for three days so I didn't think it was that but I really don't know. I f you have any further questions let me know and if you know what the issue is please let me know.

Hi there R3DSTON3R,
As you think that your drive is making some weird sounds, you should really back up the data stored on it.
Apart from that, you can:
- Downclock your system. See if the issue persists.
- Open up the panel and try to localize where the sound comes from.
- Re seat all of the components.
