Hi, I'm building a mini-itx computer for VR gaming and also as a hackintosh (dual boot). Im going with an i5-6600k cpu and it's socket is 1151. Then the motherboard that is potentially choosing has a 1151-LGA socket. I'm not sure what LGA means. Will it fit or not? Are there mini-itx motherboards without LGA sockets? Can someone please explain this to me.

Here is the full build:

LGA means land grid array, which more or less means that the pins are on the motherboard with flat contacts on the bottom of the CPU. It has nothing to do with the specific processor you want to use. As long as the socket type for the CPU (1151) matches the socket type of the motherboard, (LGA 1151), then you are good to go.

Always check with supported CPU information for the motherboard to make absolutely sure it will work. There's no reason to think a mainstream CPU like the I5-6600k wouldn't work in any 1151 board, but it can't hurt to check.
LGA means Land Grid Array. It is basically a socket type which may or may not be part of a CPU / motherboard description. Basically you want to make sure the CPU and the motherboard is of the same socket by looking that the number of pins (used to transfer data and also for power).

In this case the CPU and motherboard has 1151 points so they are of the same socket type.
