Hard drive was transferred from one CPU to the next. I went into 'My Computer" and the C Drive is full. I cannot find the files though. They aren't not hidden. I expected the folders that were present on my desktop before would appear on this computer now after the transfer.

Need more details here, how exactly did you transfer the drive? Is this the boot drive, secondary drive, need details about exactly what was done, are you booting off this moved drive in the other computer without re-installing Windows? If you just put the drive into the other computer, booted off it with no issues, and are using the same user account, all your files should be there. You probably did something else like create a new user or installed Windows clean and are just not looking in the right place for the old user account files.
