Motherboard or RAM issue.

I have three sticks of RAM (https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=9SIA24G28N3559) in my motherboard and they have never all worked. It seems like only one is working at once, and they all seem to work by themselves the last time I checked. Windows 7 tells me something about only 4gb available or something, which I find odd since each has 6gb.

My motherboard I think is the problem, and I have the Asus P6T7 WS SuperComputer. Got it from a friend, along with most of the computer - including a 1200w PSU lmao - a fewish years ago. I'm thinking maybe two spots are broken, and I don't know what the black colored bars or such are, but I've been told to put them in the blue of it (not sure if that's a universal thing that only makes sense, or if you can put them in any of the slots).

So what could I do to figure out the issue, unless it's just a matter of "It would seem to be the case," so I should see if I can send it back, although I have no information on it.

Thanks in advance

I have 64-bit Windows 7 Pro. If there's no danger to messing around with that, I'll try that out if I can figure it out in a few days, once I get my PC and everything set up in my room. I'm not sure how to do this, I just assume it's in the boot-up, but any videos you might know of that are good? In fact, I'm new and not knowledgeable in the least when it comes to my hardware. I don't know where to start looking for tutorials and such. Anybody on YouTube you might suggest, including a first episode I should start with? Hopefully stuff that isn't time consuming, like half an hour per video is a little bit much but that's fine.
Thanks for the help
