Hi everyone,

I'm currently experiencing a sound interference with my newly bought (3 days ago). Whenever I plug-in (front and back audio ports) any audio peripheral, I hear a soft sound (that seems to be my HDD working). It occurs on all headphones and speakers that I tested. I tested these speakers and headphones on my other desktop and there seems to be no interference. So, I guess this problem is on my current build.

Here is my specs if it matters:
Intel Core i5-6600k 3.5-3.90 GHz 4-core Processor
Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4gb 2400 8gb
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
Corsair Spec 01
Seasonic S12II 520watts 80+ Bronze

I guess this is problem with my motherboard. Is it supposed to be that way? I'm still under warranty. Should I get it replaced or are there any other ways to prevent the interference?

Thanks.

EDIT 1: Here are the following the I already tried:
1. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
2. Reformat the system and install the drivers.
3. Update the drivers.
4. Remove all connections except the headset.
5. Mute the sound down to 0.

After trying all of these. I still get interference.

I have the exact same MOBO, latest Realtek HD Drivers and latest F6 BIOS (there is a beta one for the new Intel processors that haven't hit the market, so i haven't bothered with it)

Yesterday i bought the Sennheiser G4ME ONE Open Headset.

At first, when i plugged them in, they sounded horrible. I reinstalled the Realtek HD Drivers from the beginning, uninstalled any other sound software and they somewhat sound decent, but i am sad to say that my Logitech G35 3 year old USB 7.1 gaming Headset, sounded much better.

Most likely, the soundcard is horrible on the Z170x Gaming 3.

At first, when i had the volume to 100 and i turned my headsets volume wheel to maximum as well, i could hear the weird electrical interferance, hissing noise.

After usign them for about a day, that noise went away.

I've plugged them in both in y front and back slots and currently i have them blucked in on the back 3.5 mm ports and the hissing electircal interference semes to be gone, but the sound quality, i wouldn't say it's 170 Euro Sennheiser Quality.

With that said, i am looking to buy me an external usb DAC/AMP to avoid any interferences and make sure i poower my headset to it's intended potential.

Another disapointing thing that i've noticed is this:

When i enable an AMP on the mobo by flipping the switch, the sound becomes louder, but for some reason my right EAR CUP is heard louder than my left one.

So yeah, that feuture of the mobo is forgotten..
