I have a Dell Inspiron 3847
12gb Ram
Gtx 950
i5 4460
BenQ 144hz monitor 1080p
EVGA Supernova 550 G2

I want to upgrade to either a 1060 or a 1070

I'm looking at these 2 1060's

Would there be an inherent advantage other than cooling going with the full size card? Overclocking?

Would the 1060 be enough for gaming at 1080p? Or should I invest in the 1070.

A 1060 would be fine at 1080p, but may not hit your monitors max fps in graphic intense games. A 1070 would be worth the additional cash. The larger card will both cool better, and do it quieter then the mini card. It should also achieve higher overclocks.

I mainly bought the 144hz monitor for CS:GO. 60FPS is fine to me in non competitive games

Mainly bought the monitor for CS:GO. 60fps wouldn't bother me in non competitive games.

I only have 10" maximum to work with between the back of my case and the HDD cage. Whats wrong with the ASUS? It seems to have the same boost clock speed.

That's pretty much why I had those 2 in mind. the EVGA is clocked higher but only one fan. the ASUS is the highest clocked full size card i can find that will fit haha
