CPU and GPU fans spin too fast at startup, is it normal?

When I start my pc, my cpu starts spinning at 100% and then it normalizes after finishing the bios boot screen. Then when windows is loading, my gpu fans do the same but normalizes right before the login to windows screen. Is it anything that can be configured to fix this? Can this be a long term problem?

GPU: Asus RX 480 Dual 04G OC Edition
MB: Gigabyte B150M-D3H-GSM DDR4
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
PSU: Antec HCG-750w
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700

Systems typically do that as the hardware initialises, so it is quite normal and nothing to be concerned about.
Start worrying when you don't hear them spin up during boot.

Same here, Asus H97ME mobo, i3 4160, CPU fan spins at its max at the start up then everything is normal, my GPU doesn't do this though. Its nothing to worry about.

Just downloading a third party software to check temperatures afterwords.

A few seconds of 100% fan RPM will not lead to any long term damage. Even sustained 100% fan RPM would take a while to experience any sort of bearing issues.

Thanks everybody, just making sure everything is in order, as I just upgraded my gpu recently. I had an Nvidia n630gt before that, and never actually hear the fan spin that fast at boot time. Maybe ´cause its just a small fan compared to the dual fan design of the RX which are quite a bit loud.
