Hi guys. I have asus f402c laptop with Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN Card, win 8.1 pro. It can see all the connections around but don't see my connection that has a strong signal. Sure there is no problem in router as many devices are connected to it without problems including my mobile.
I updated all kinds of drivers, tried all different vertions including the latest one, also directly from asus and ralink. I tried to uninstall drivers, deleting the device and start it all new with latest drivers, but no effect. The strange thing is that the connection appears for some time then disappear again, now it dissapeared completely. but the other non-mine connections are stable, even far away from me.

Really appreciate any suggestions and help. Thx.

Also I've read all the topics here regarding 802.11n Wireless LAN Card but didn't find an answer. There was a suggestion to Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters Registry Values, can it help in my case or it's the other issue ?
Also maybe the problem in wireless card itself? The thing is I didn't use the laptop for 6 month and when I started to use it I found out that my keyboard is pressing some keys may be because of some humid that came inside, so I switched it off. So maybe with lan card happens the same, some erosion happened and it is not functioning properly, maybe the signal is to strong for it)) ? Just making ideas.
When I started laptop it didn't see the connection only nonmine, it was 8.1 win. Then i reinstalled to 8.1 pro but the same thing.

Also switched of firewall and antivirus. Switched off power saving mode in adapter. Also have done in Commander Prompt
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
Nothing happened.

Disable the onboard wireless adapter and try using USB wireless adapter via a USB port.

Also try a wired connection.

If you can sucessfully and steadily connect with another wireless adapter or even wired that will help narrow down the problem source to being the existing wireless LAN card.

Can you borrow another known working wireless LAN card? Swap out the existing card and test using the "new" card?

I connected to this wifi by using USB via the phone and it works perfectly. I can't borrow the card anywhere. But the strange thing that it can see the neighbor connections but only mine is not being seen, only a few times it appeared and disappeared again.

I would consider some form of interference then.

You mentioned "neighbor connections". Are you in an apartment or somewhere equally likely to have a lot of people, devices, and networks around?

What make and model router do you have? Could be that some (possibly forgotten) configuration change was made so your wireless card and router are not playing well together. Doublecheck the adapter's configuration settings: No "automatics": Use manual settings directly or if already manually set then try "auto". Remember to change only one thing at a time and keep notes about what and where you made changes. Just in case you need to reverse the change.

What frequency and channel are you using? Set up your network to see if another choice works better for your laptop.

And your router's logs (if available and enabled) may provide a clue or two.
