Rest assured, there aren't any microscopic cracks. If there were any, your RAM slot wouldn't work at all.

Relax some, take a walk outside.
PC hardware is very durable and i'm sure that you didn't damage your RAM slot.

For example: In my early years of PC building (about 15 years ago or so), when trying to insert a RAM stick, i put so much pressure on the RAM slot that the MoBo itself did bend quite a bit. Only realizing afterwards that i didn't opened one RAM clip that holds RAM in place. That explained why the RAM didn't go in. I opened the clip, put the RAM in without much effort and turned on my system. Everything worked fine, like nothing happened. In the matter of fact, i still have that old PC (Pentium2, 266Mhz) in running...

Pretty strong to the point i've never had problems with them.

It's normal to have to push the Stick a little harder in the slot, until it 'clicks' to lock the RAM in it's place.

I've never tried to pull the whole slot out of the mobo, so i guess you don't wanna do that either. So my bet is that it's pretty tough.

Is your PC still turning on? It won't if your RAMs aren't working properly.

Thanks. But my hand slipped accidentally from the 'PCIE CLIP' and had exerted a force/pressure sideways/horizontally on the slot.I am concerned, although its booting, that whether the soldering is 'perfectly ok or not',or might have got loosened or got bent/damaged...

It does not seem bent and apparently ok,but if there's some microscopic loosening, between the soldering and the pcb, then its surely to be a poor performance.Am I not right, and so unlucky!

There are microscopic failures in every single piece of hardware. There's nothing like perfection. I don't wanna get philosophical here lol

Even if there is, the performance difference wouldn't be noticeable, not by naked eyes. Unless it completely started to malfunction.

Don't overthink it, your system is fine.

Got a PM from OP to help out and now i'm here.

RAM slots are very durable and it takes quite a force to break them off from MoBo.
Since your system boots without any issue, you didn't damage your RAM slot and there's nothing to worry.

Thank you.It does not seem bent and apparently ok,but if there's some microscopic loosening, between the soldering and the pcb, then its surely to be a poor performance. What do u have to say about this, because I am having sleepless nights and nightmares!
