I have an alienware x51 system.

I was having issues with my computer so I decided to wipe it and reinstall windows 7.
It took it a very long time to install the windows 7 and it's response time is horrible. Like I been on the windows loading screen for over 5 minuses after the reinstall. It is preforming like it is an ancient machine. It is taking several minutes at a time to even do anything on it.....
What could be the issues with my computer???

If could be a failing drive. Have you checked that yet?

I haven't been able to yet due to I have been still waiting for the drives to try to install. Which I'm trying to do so I can get the WiFi back and then test it.
What is the best way to test it.
I only had this computer like 4 years and it has a ssd drive which I didn't download a lot it was used mostly for photos and classes with my adobe programs

I would typically use SeaTools for DOS. It is available here. Burn it to a disk or install it on a USB and boot your computer to it

How do you boot it to it like you would with Windows 7 disc? Sorry I'm somewhat tech savvy but a lot I don't know.
And can you send me link to it? I was going try this one

CrystelDiskInfo is good for a quick check. If you get anything other than a Good rating on the drive I would replace it. If it says Good I would then run the Seatools for DOS. The Seagate website has instructions on how to create a bootable CD from it. If you don't have an option during boot to change the boot device (like F9 key on most HP products) then you may have to go into the BIOS to allow booting from other than the hard drive and change the boot order to CD first.

That should work. It does assume that your drive supports SMART. You just have to have another computer with a CD drive to burn it to a disk. If you have Windows 7 or later, Windows should handle it. If not, then you will need a third-party ISO burning program.
