Hi everyone. Recently I got a huge urge to play skyrim but recently I moved from a PC to a laptop to save up some cash and because I don't play games as much as I used to. Here are the specs: CPU:Intel i7 3612Q 2.10 Ghz GPU:AMD 7600m Ram:8 GB
So i start skyrim up, everything seems to be fine, but after a few minutes the fps drops to horrendous levels, the sound starts stuttering and everything's slow. I close Skyrim, boot it up again and after a couple of minutes the same thing happens. My drivers are up to date, I have no idea what might be causing this. Ideas?

Overheating is my guess. You could lower the graphics and check if the problem persists. Skyrim is a buggy game and this may just be a problem with the game itself, but its better to be sure if that's the case. You can check this easily by entering a small dungeon or house and see if the stuttering stops.

Are you by any chance playing with a controller? I've heard of other people having such weird stuttering issues once they leave the MOUSE idle for a couple minutes, and it stops once they move the mouse even slightly. I think THAT kind of stuttering may be caused by some sort of virus.

I lowered the settings as much as possible but it still persists. What I don't get is the sound stuttering. I think it has something to do with the Bethesda engine and if it is what can I do about it. Is there maybe something in the .ini file I can edit?

Oh the sound starts stuttering too does it? Enable V-sync. That may set everything right. Also, if you play while charging the laptop, that may be the issue. Charging while doing something demanding tends to overheat the processor and makes it go coocoo, so yeah, unplug it.
