Chill out man don't take it personal. It's not a pissing contest. We're helping a fellow gamer.

The price difference between the GTX 950 and 1050ti is literally $5.
$5 for double the ram is a steal.

Up for Jay Santos.

Good build but you can knock off alot on the gpu getting it second hand, that's the advantage of the 950 over the 1050ti, about $40.

It all depends on what else you'll be playing devora. Just dota doesn't call for 4gb vram I wouldn't think.

Also with AMD Zen and the new Intel line of processors hopefully in a couple months, you are in the same situation as earlier this year with gpu (GTX 900 series fell like a rock the month after 1000 was released).

Time is your friend. You can hunt for second hand pieces now or later, but right now I recommend Jays build, but maybe with 8gb ram so you can do some more stuff in the background as well as the games.

2gb of vram is far too low. Heck it was low even for last generation. I bought a 2gb GTX 960 and I regretted it. I wish I spend the extra $40 for the 4gb. It was a 10% fps boost on games like GTAV.

I already said you are right if he plays other things than dota. What more do you want. It's obvious more is needed if you play newer things. Heh, I can say he needs atleast 6gb for 4k res on most things these days, but that's not what he asked for.

I saw the word budget in the title and dont think 40% more cost is worth 10% improvement
