I just built my PC and after installing windows I installed the drivers. However, once the drivers installed my mouse and keyboard no longer worked. I restarted my computer and was able to use the keyboard to start the computer in safe mode. However, when I was prompted to enter my login in password the keyboard no longer worked. What should I do?

Hello. Try pressing F8 faster and multiple times on boot until you have this choice:

If this does nothing, and Safe Mode is inaccessible, you will need your Windows 7 disk. Boot from the Windows 7 disk and select System Rstore in the "repair your computer" section. It is found on this screen:

Thanks for the fast reply. The problem is that because I am unable to shut down the computer properly when I start it up I am only given the option of starting in safe mode, start normally etc. I pressed F8 before this screen as soon as the computer started but it didn't seem to do anything and I was still given this screen.

I tried to do a system restore in safe mode but when I have to login (the computer is set up with a password) I can't because the keyboard has stopped working again. So while I can use the keyboard to select safe mode it stops working shortly after
