hi, i have recently bought the Asus Geforce gtx 1070 5 days ago, when i first installed it i had no fps issues, the next day my frames are dropping on all my games, such as the game when i play cod4 mordern warfare, i get 250 fps and then they will drop to 80fps or 160, when i get on bf1 i get same exact issue, every game i play has been an issue, CSGO only get 120-200 fps but before that when i had my AMD r9 290x i had no issues at all with any game. i had more fps on the 290x on csgo then i get on my ASus 1070. i also put my r9 290x back in to see if it was my ASUS 1070 was the issue and i had no FPS issue on my r9 290x. and my CPU temps are at 35-50C so i know it cant be my cpu getting hot. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE. Also i notice my CPU is at 50% when i just have google chrome open and steam when i got on cod4 MW(not Remastered) my cpu usage was at 60-70%

Solution
All the 10xx series are with lag problems, big frametimes, latency and it is because of nvidia drivers. The driver make the connection between the hardware & software. I have one gtx1060 and i have the same problems, in COD Infinitive Warfare and occasionally in Project Cars. Change the driver. I try the hotfix 375.75 and improve a lot in COD Infinitive Warfare but Project Cars get worse. Now im trying the 372.90 and improved in Project Cars, let see in COD Infinitive Warfare. Try that. Your CPU, 4690k is great and for sure that do not bootleneck your GPU.

its because your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu. I say get a new cpu or save up for a new one. the fps you get now is fine for now. it will great for now but u should start considering to start saving up now for a good cpu
