Hello, I've been searching for a while for a solution.

I have a table microphone which is connected to the audio jack at the rear end of my computer.

The microphone is detected however when I try speak, the microphone doesn't pick up any sound. The microphone works on my laptop just not my computer.

I have tried to update all my drivers. (not too sure about this)

The microphone is not on mute or anything to do with the settings it is on.

Very grateful for any advice, thanks! I will include my specs below.

Thanks for the reply,

Nope, the microphone doesn't seem to pick up sound at all. Don't know if it's worth mentioning however there is a crackling sound whilst my headphones are connected in the front audio jack (which is why I stopped using the front audio jacks in the first place).

Haven't tried using it until now as I had a USB microphone so I'm guessing it never did but I'm not sure.
