Hello, I'm planning on upgrading my graphics card but want to make sure it is compatible with my current setup. The card I want to upgrade to is the Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5.

RAM: 8 GB
Processor: AMD FX-8150 Eight Core
Power: Corsair 750W
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
I'm still using Windows 7 as well.

Any comments appreciated, and if I need to change anything to make this work please let me know.

Thanks all!

Yes, however you might want to upgrade you OS. But I'm sure that's just personal opinion. I have a GTX 970 4GB by EVGA and I'm going to be upgrading soon because the 970 4GB isn't really 4GB. The new GTX 10 series has cards that are the same price that have genuine 6GB.

It's about $230. Are those two types compatible as well? I'm just worried about getting a card that is too powerful for my processor/motherboard as well.

Thanks for the help guys!
