title says it all basically i'm mounting with the fan down for positive pressure in my case due to other fan config, and the screw holes don't line up and when they do the screw just keeps rotating but offcenter and not tightening at all or going fully in. i've tried flipping it upside down on the knowledge that i can obviously change my fan config but ive tried numerous things now and getting slightly frustrated. all help is appreciated.

Maybe they packed the wrong screws with the PSU (unlikely). Take the PSU out and try each screw hole with each screw. Never seen that happen and have been building for years.

Also be sure you are aiming for the threaded hole and not one of the other vent holes.

lol, figured it out there are eight places for screws and four screws, (for two seperate configs?) anyways basically they fit in one set after some more fiddling but not the other lol thanks anyways :)

The holes should all be tapped to the same thread and pitch. If they aren't there is something wrong with the manufacture. I have had one PSU in the past that required me to run a tap thru the hole to clean up the faulty threads, though.

They don't though. It is part of the vent that lines up with the holes. Which are not the correct spots to put screws as you can imagine. It is hard to explain unless you see it. I am using a Define R5 and the screw spots are different for rightside up/upside down on the case itself.

I know what you are saying, but only some of the threads should line up with the cent (the ones for the opposite orientation). I guess you'll have to post a picture to convince me.

here is an example of the problem. This is a different PSU and different case so I guess it isn't limited to the G2 PSUs.

Note the top left and top right has holes visible. These are not places for screws though. It is part of the vent. However on the G2 series PSUs, they line up perfectly and it appears to be the correct location to put a screw, it isn't.
