Need your opinion about PSU' health

Good day, Tom's hardware!

For about a few months now, my system completely shuts down when I am playing games. If it's in idle mode, it will run smoothly. My first solution is that maybe it's an overheating issue. But I already monitored my CPU and GPU's temps and it does not go beyond 70c, yet, the problem still persists, that is, system completely shuts down (not reboot or anything but shuts down). So I was wondering if this maybe caused by a faulty PSU. I need your opinion about this before I purchased a new PSU, or maybe I miss something. Here are my specs:

PSU: Silverstone Strider Essential 80+ bronze 500w
CPU: i5-4460
GPU: GTX 950

I have my pc for about 11 months now making me think that the PSU is already dying because of the demands of my cpu or gpu (?). Thanks in advance!

You'll find a 650W of some models are priced the same as another 1000W model, don't look the rated watt number, its the certification tag (bronze at 70% ... titanium at 90%) ex. a 650W titanium grade is tested stable 550W stable. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-psus,4229.html seems like you are unlucky for having dying one. Doesn't mean an expensive PSU "dying free" that's why vendors warrant their expensive products with long years.

is it possible that the PSU is the one causing my system to shut down?
