i am having an issue... on start-up i get a black screen with a blinking underscore, i recently purchased a new CPU Cooling fan and in putting the new CPU fan in i ruined my CPU so i replaced the CPU and the computer starts up with the black screen with a blinking underscore... also before, when my computer was starting up fine... every time i started it up it would tell me, "You May Be A Victim Of Software Counterfeiting" do to the fact that the person i got this computer from said he used a CD Key that had already been used on another computer... could it be possible that my issue is that all i need to do is buy a new windows 7 CD Key? please help

yes i believe so, i used the pea method when applying thermal paste as i always do and its worked before.
if i get the black screen with a blinking underscore, could that mean i possibly fried my motherboard? the capacitors all over the motherboard are still flat (not bulging) so the power didnt surge and ruin those so im not to sure what else it could be because the CPU is brand new as of today.
do you have any other possible solution to my problem? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
*UPDATE* also my motherboard is a [MSI N1996 ms-7550]

Replace the SATA power connector, if persist, borrow suitable PSU, IF.. go to your friend, backup or clone your hard disk to new hard disk, IF.. get new build
