SSD Upgrade on Dell Inspiron 5559

Hello,

I own a dell inspiron 5559 and was wondering if its ssd compatible and if so what specific models. Please help.

@n0ns3ns3 is totally right! The SATA connection allows you to install either SSD or HDD, they both use the same connectivity. The only issue you only downside that could potentially be encountered is that SATA II (3 Gb/s = 300 MB/s) motherboards would bottleneck the performance of an SSD as its capable of reaching around ~500 MB/s transfer rate. However, I just looked at the specs of your notebook and it looks like the SATA interface is SATA III (6 Gb/s = 600 MB/s). This basically gives you the green light that any SSD would perform at its best on your laptop. :)
