Hello there guys!

For this christmas i'm gonna surprise myself with a Mechanical Keyboard, and currently searching for a suitable predecessor for my good old Logitech G19.
Aaaaaaand i'm currently stuck. Been all over the internet, searching for the right fit, but couldn't find the proper one.

I'm looking a keyboard with:

  • * RGB lighting
    * Dedicated Macro keys
    * Cherry MX red / speed switches
Corsair K95 RGB. There is nothing i dont like about this keyboard, buuuuuuuut, after some digging i found out, that it has a pretty high precentage to have dead LED's after a few days/weeks of usage. Yes, i know, i can RMA, but that takes time. Any input on this issue?

Logitech Orion Spark This is another choice, but it doesnt come with Cherry MX switches. But honestly, this one has (IMO) a crappy design, and besides the macro keys, there is nothing i like about this keyboard.

I was trying to lower my expectations from my future keyboard, but at this price, i dont think i can do so. I was also looking at the Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire, because its the only one with the speed switches, which i might very much like, but it doesnt have any Macro keys. In my understanding, i can reprogram ANY button on the keyboard to function as a Macro key, but thats a big - for me. Also checked the Das Keyboard, other Logitechs, Razer ones (big meh for me), and lots, lots of other stuff, but besides the perfect Corsair K95 RGB (which is a lottery of leds) couldn't find any other option.

If someone knows about a keyboard, that fits the description, please, enlighten me! Or, if you have the K95 RGB, any input would be much appreciated.

I don't personally have experience with a K95 but i've been using its baby brother the K70 pretty much all day everyday since i bought it a year and a half ago and i have no complaints. The build quality is outstanding, all my LED's are working find, the keys feel tactile and responsive and i would definitely recommend it.

Yeah, i know that the K70's LED's are working flawlessly, but they changed something with the K95, and it seems that the problem only appears with the K95's. Anyways, thanks for your input, its appreciated!

Razer's have their own switches, and im looking for Cherries. And in the past, i owned some Razer products, and i can safely say that i dont like them at all.

there are some extremely good quality keyboards you should highly consider: the ducky shine 5s and 6s, (maybe) razer blackwidow choma (not my personal favorite), keyboards from max, and maybe even the k type keyboard if you can wait. im looking for a keyboard and i did a considerable amount of research and i am still struggling. right now im leaning towards the k70 lux, the ducky shine, and the new realforce rgb (its very expensive as it has topre switches).

Yeah, i've been looking at those. I like the ducky shine's design, but it doesnt have macro keys, and it lacks the volume wheel, which is very nice to have. And IMO razers are the iphones of pc gaming.Very expensive, okay, but not worth the price. And they are using one of their own switches, not the Cherries.

Thanks for the input tho, its appreciated!
