Would bending a cpu socket pin cause PCI slot problems?

So I built my pc a while ago, all except for the GPU. While building it and installing the CPU, I was scared of putting too much pressure and breaking the entire thing so I kept being hesitant, putting some force down and backing off, this eventually led to a pin in the CPU socket to bend. I later installed the CPU and the PC functioned normally with no issues so I just ignored it

Recently, I decided to get a GPU for it. The first I ordered I installed. The fan spun, but Windows wasn't detecting the card and neither were the driver installers. Disabling the on board graphics didn't work either.

So I shipped it back assuming it was DoA and when I got a new one the same issue occurs.

So can a bent socket pin cause this?

I'll try whenever I get home later today. What kind of tools should I use to bend them back? I haven't attempted it before.

Its perfectly fine for many tasks. Your problem is the tutorial posted is not going to help you. That processor doesn't have pins, hey are located in the socket. Bending those pins back in that socket is not easy to do without damaging something, but also its rare to bend them so thats probably not your problem.

I said I have bent the ones in the socket, and I have seen them bent before fully installing the CPU. And I've realized that the tutorial posted above probably won't help.
