Hi,

I have problem with 2 Cooler Master Jetflo 120 fans noise. First fan is connected with 4 pin to motherboard and I set it to silent option in BIOS but this fan is still loud although it runs at 1100 rpm. Second fan is connected with 3 pin 1200 rpm silent adapter to motherboard (because I don't have one more 4 pin on motherboard). I tried to reduce first fan with programs but it didn't change anything. Second fan with 3 pin 1200 rpm adapter is slightly noisy from first fan but if I find solution to reduce first fan speed I will buy cable spliter. Can somebody help me to reduce fan speed?

Solution
the JetFlos are noisy fans. they come with excellent airflow for their size but they buy that with noise levels.
usually your board comes with a fan utility software that lets you control fan speed, even of 3pin fans.
if they're suddenly much louder than they were try cleaing them. otherwise it could hint at the end of their lifespan.

Ideally you would get a motherboard with more 4 pins or alternatively you could purchase a fan hub which you can connect all your fans too (accept CPU fan) and have full control however I did some research on your fans and they are supposed to only have 2 modes of operation: 1600RPM or 1200RPM so yeah that might be a reason.

If you believe your fans are making an obscenely loud noise like angry loud than they could be malfunctioning but the chance of that happening to two of them is not likely.

Hopefully this helps you out :D
