Hi,

I've seen a GTX 950 being paired with one of these before and it preformed pretty nicely. I would recommend you do the same.

However you definitely need some more ram, 2Gb simply wont cut it. Get about 8GB is possible.

That's a pretty old chip but it'll get the job done for lighter gaming. You could go with either a GTX 950 or GTX 1050 ti for about the same price but I think the 1050 will perform a little better and be viable for entry level gaming if you buy a new system. A GTX 750 will also work in a pinch and it's about $50 less than the other 2. I've been rocking a 750 since it released a few years ago and it's held up pretty well. But yeah, you really need more RAM. 8GB is pretty standard but at the very least you need 4GB.

A friend of mine has a Sapphire R7 250X and is pretty happy with it. But he prefers to play somewhat older games and is not so much into shooter and racing games. (Where afaik high frame rates matter the most of all genres)

But yes, depending on your preferred settings and the games you are actually playing you might look up to something like a GTX 750 Ti - 950 or a similar performing AMD card.
And you should totally get more RAM. preferred 8 GB or the closest you can get. If you are already on DDR3 that might be easy but with DDR2 you might take a look at the prices first, before considering buying.
