Hello guys. I need some ideas for future upgrades for my PC.
I have built it 3 years ago and the specs are:

CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: Msi GTX 770 OC 2GB
RAM: 8 GB Gskill 1866Mhz
MOBO: Asus M5A97 EVO r.20
PSU: Cooler Master 650 Watt 80+ Bronze
MONITOR : Really the cheapiest 1080p 60Hz 5ma response time. ASUS

I want to upgrade to a GTX 1060 6Gb, add 8 GB more ram to make it 16, and get an 144Hz 1Ms 1080p monitor. Is this a good idea or are there better ones?

I dont have the money to buy a new CPU tho so i will stick with the fx which is on stock speed.

The purpose of this is to play games on a high fps. I dont mind the graphics that much, meaning i can play with medium settings to go as close as i can to that mighty 144fps. The games i play are: BF1, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch. Mostly AAA shooter games.

Is it good to buy those now or wait? Thank you

i suggest you to upgrade to the latest bios before changing the gpu card
Version 2603
Description M5A97 EVO R2.0 BIOS 2603
Enhance compatibility with some USB devices
File Size 3.07 MBytesupdate 2015/03/27
Download from Global

get a very very good cpu cooler like the cryorig R1 or H5 at least

and yes 16 gb of ram can not hurt too

BF1 is a monster to run...i prefer a gtx 1070 minimum by far

for the monitor a good TN panel with gtc 1 ms and 144HZ will do the job , you do not need gsync
i suggest BENQ or ASUS ..there is a good AOC too but i can not remember which model

This sounds pretty killer for an upgrade you've got the CPU power behind it with a 1060 you should be crushing games at 1080P which means you be taking full advantage of a 144Hz monitor for sure. The RAM upgrade is also a welcomed one as a lot of the new AAA titles like Battlefield 1 are recommending 16Gb of RAM these days and it doesn't make a large amount of difference but It will help a bit especially for your future gaming endevours. Would recommend!

will there be any bottlenecks on 1080p? i know i can reduce that a bit my oc my cpu but i really cant coz i have a very basic custom air cooler and a very hot room. i know the cpu bottlenecks games like arma or squad but i really dont play those at all. ive heard that the fx range cpus will benefit a lot from games that will utilise dx12 in the future is that correct?

    Acer predator GSync
Yes its pricey, but not for a reason, G sync was design to deliver smooth game experience with high end nVidia graphic card such as GTX 1080, 1070, or 980Ti.
Thermaltake AIO water cooler for FX 8350, because your motherboard may not support decent overclocking so the best you can do is making your CPU to not reach its throttling point more often.

Both of those are future proof upgrade. You can play at high fps by reducing screen resolution or image quality (where's the fun of that) . The G Sync reference www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync/faq
