Hello everyone,

I've been having problems with my PC for quite awhile. A few months ago I had a GTX 760 and my computer would sound loop kind of like slow motion sounding then turn off. I thought the graphics card could have been the problem but I never looked into it. I recently purchased a 1070 and the problem is back. I've also had blue screens but those have stopped. No clue as to why they occurred.

I don't think the GPU is the problem because it does the same thing the last one did. Although it does have artifacting especially on imgur gifs, it also had some artifacting in Squad today. Could my RAM be the problem? I have had a single stick of 8GB for about 3 years now (g.skill ripjaws x 1x8gb stick).

I feel that in games I should be getting more fps because my friends with similar rigs and worse gpu and CPU get nearly as much fps as I do. I don't think my windows is the problem as I freshly installed less than a week ago. Whenever I look at the memory tab it never adds up even though it says a certain amount is being used.

I just want to have better performance from my PC that I feel I should have.

specs:
i5 4570 3.3ghz
evga 1070
1x8gb ram 1600mhz
120gb ssd
windows 10 64bit

thank you
