i have chosen to buy one of these motherboards,
a website named motherboardbenchmark has rated them in terms of audio/video performacne,
still i want to know which will be better for better audio
Gigabyte z170x gaming 3
asus h170 pro gaming
msi z170 krait gaming
gigabyte h170 gaming 3

Solution
The Gygabyte, Asus and MSI use the ALC1150 and my experience is that even with decent components and amplifiers the quality of that codec is well, basic... no high quality at all.

The diferences is that ASUS use a software over the codec and called SupremeFX, Asus use a software solution of Soundblaster (don't expect miracles from a software solution) and MSI just use some good quality components for audio (as the rest also use).

If you want a high-end solution, just go to a discrete soundcard, my recomendation is someone of the family Xonar STX. If you want to stick with the MB sound, then probably a Gigabyte because i think that the software solution from Sound Blaster will be slightly better than the rest.

But in the end you have...

That's a diferent question:
If you are going to overclock -> z170 because the chipset h170 dont allow overlock
If you need more cpu lanes (more usb, more sata, more M.2, sli, etc.) -> z170 because you have 20 laves vs 16 on the h170
Otherwise h170 is enought and you could cut some money.

Yes they will be enought, the pci lanes are more problematic with graphic cards or PCIe SSDs that use 16, 8 or at worst 4 lanes per bus. All the ones you put except the graphic card i think that are PCIes x1.
