I recently bought a supernove g2 750 and I got everything in correctly but the 24pin it won't go in any farther and trust I've tried pushing really hard and holding the mono so it wouldn't snap, I'm afraid I already broke it there's no more room for it to go down any farther and the stubborn latch still won't clip on. I didn't hear it latch on and from looking on top doesn't look like the latch is on either. I got a z97m-ds3h motherboard. Please help! Is it save for it not to latch on?

As long as you don't transport the machine and the connector is in tight, it should be fine. I have occasionally run across 24-pin headers and connectors that don't quite "mesh" myself. If you feel it is worth it, you might be able to carefully file some of the 24-pin connector's plastic clip away.

When you are pushing the connector firmly down, try to also push in on the clip. Sometimes I've had luck doing that. It kinda helps the clip pop over the header's lip.

If the connector ever did come loose enough to break contact, you'd just shut down until you could re-seat it. But do that too many times, and the arc burn from the +12V rail may cause issues.
