Just like the title says. Which would be best for gaming? I heard that games actually prefer less cores and i7 are built for overclocking. Though would these Xeons handle games well even though overclock isn't an option with them?

If you had to pick out of the two options which would you go for?
ideally I would have liked to have just the one machine so deciding if the Xeon is good enough for now. Do you know a good benchmark test I can try on both? I have a Titan x card I can use in both to test.
