So I built this pc and after the first start up I've had issues freezing periodically under any load and under any task given just idle. My motherboard just gave out and I thought that was the solution to my problems I replaced that, the cooler also went so I replaced that as well but I'm seeing my issue AGAIN after a few days. Any advice would be appreciated as I can't figure it out and I REALLY don't want to take it back in. I just want this off my back because I'm starting to lose motivation and this is all I look forward to after work

Here are my specs!
CPU: AMD FX-9590
GPU: R9 390X which for some reason doesn't show up on my software like everything else.
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair Formula Z
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz 16gb (8x2)
Samsung Evo SSD
HDD Seagate 1 TB
Cooler: Kraken X61
PSU: 1000W Corsair golden certified something similar to it. Never seen the fans kick on even on startup but I've been assured it takes extreme load to see it spin.

I haven't touched any settings that had to do with it other than the defaults on the mb. It's in automatic mode but it's reading 4.7ghz and that's what the CPU was out of the box so I don't believe there's an issue there.

You're not the only one to have those problems with that CPU + Mobo combo.

Looks like most of them have had to significantly alter stock voltage settings to achieve stability. In the second thread, the 6th poster screenshotted the settings that worked for him. But honestly, the whole setup seems like more trouble than it's worth. The 9590 is a notoriously finicky chip with power and heat and mobo issues.

I read a bit about it being unstable when I bought it and figured it would have to be replaced. I'm gonna mess with the voltages for now, what cpu would you recommend to take its place?

With that mobo, I think the 8350 is probably the best option. Most people here have said they don't see much if any difference between it and the 8370, aside from price. I don't want to get into an AMD vs Intel debate, but, building a new system around an old platform doesn't make much sense with the prices you're paying for those components. Not with the Intel alternatives, and Zen peeking around the corner if you want to stick with AMD.

I'll make the swap one of these days. Honestly I don't know a whole lot about Intel and I never looked it up I just stuck to amd after my first build.
