So I don't really know what any of this means, I don't understand FreeDOS or anything. My PC when I boot it up brings me to a black screen with an error message. I tried getting into the bios and booting up windows but it brings me right back to this error message:

FreeDOS kernel 2041 )build 2041 OEM:0xfd) [compiled Feb 7 2012]
Kernel compatibility 7.10 - WAATCOMC - 80386 CPU required - FAT32 support

FreeCom version 0.84-pre2 XMS_Swap [Aug 28 2006 00:29:00]

I saw the "CPU required" so I thought I may have burnt out my Core ? I'm not to sure but if you have any advice I would appreciate it

Since it only sees this one 4Gb disk I guess that the power outage did something, maybe the bios got reset to default or maybe the partition that contained windows got deleted/corrupted.
You should start your system with an windows installation media dvd/usb or with a bootable usb linux distro to see if your windows partitions are still there.

Is that a new computer? All that text you copied is not an error. If the computer is new, you probably bought it without windows installed. OEMs sometimes sell this machines with "freeDOS" installed instead of Windows, that way you don't pay for the Windows license. If that's not the case, what did you or what happened before this behavior? It doesn't seem to me like it's something that could have happened on its own.

Definitely not a new computer, had it for a little less than a year. I may have damaged some of the hardware because I was running a lot of programs at the time. But I thought it would just power down if that ever happened not break.
My screen just froze. I could move my mouse but everything on my desktop was frozen. The power button on my computer wouldn't respond so I had to flip the lever on my PSU and when I turned it back on is when i got that Error Message

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH
I do not know why, my stuff isn't new or anything, but when I unplugged all my USB connected devices it did turn on. It will be a pain to do that every time but I can't thank you enough dude really.

Ok, I see what happened. my previous answer is not the solution to your problem, but I'll explain here for anyone who happens to have this issue. You probably have a USB drive that has freeDOS installed and is bootable. Also, your BIOS is configured to boot from USB drives first before the hard drive. If you really want to fix this, just go to your BIOS settings and move the hard drive all the way up in the boot order. Or disable USB boot if that's an option. It's not really an issue, probably whoever installed Windows on your machine set it up that way and forgot to change the setting back. You normally won't see this problem because the BIOS will skip a device that doesn't have a bootable system, but I guess that you just happened to plug in your drive with freeDOS. No idea why you would have that if you don't know what it is, but I'm glad you fixed it.

I got the same message. I downloaded from ubuntu and used the rufus software. I had to change image file name from winzip to iso.
I changed everything in Bios and booted into Freedos as well.
I had c:\> then trying to remember dos 6.2 commands. lol
