Hey guys,

I have an Alienware 17 R3 laptop with 8 GB RAM but there is only 4,84 GB usable.
Is there a way to make more ram usable?
(windows 10 home x64)

Solution
TRY to turn off your pc and unplug all connected cable to motherboard including cmos battery/ram.
leave mobo alone until 10-20 min..then plug all cable (including cmos battery/ram), turn on your pc. maybe work, maybe not. keep trying. it can take up to 20 times :p

This worked for me , i dunno about a more professional way .

They are but something is reserving 3,2 GB and I don't know what. That's why if I go to "Control Panel\System and Security\System" and I look to my specs I see "8 GB RAM (4,84 Usable)" it's annoying my laptop reserves that many RAM cos thanks to that i'm having stuttering issues in games... I'm just asking a way to make my laptop reserve less RAM.

Your GPU needs it! Integrated graphics cards use your RAM, they don't have any of their own.

I can only unplug my charger cable and usb's because my battery is build-in and if I open the buttom of my laptop I'll lose my warranty. Will that help or not at all?
