$500 Dollar Budget for upgrades

Hi there Ive had my PC for about 3 years now and with new games my pc is starting to lose its grip on things. I have a budget of 500usd and looking for some guidance on what to upgrade. So please any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your input. Out of curiosity why an older i5 with a 1060 over a i5 6600k or an i7 and keep my 770. Is my 770 really that far behind compared to the 1060. Thanks again sorry if im asking foolish questions.

Am i looking at around another 3 year time frame for replacement with the older i5? Also that MB appears to be discontinued any other suggestions?

Possibly, but it's by far the best you can do with $500. That i5 performs almost identically to the newer i5 6500 and better than the newer i5 6400 so it's not exactly getting close to being outdated.

Any B85 or H97 motherboard would be fine
