I'm new to PC building and this may seem like a stupid question but it's me, so every question I have is somehow stupid. The motherboard I am looking to buy does not have a definitive answer on how many 3 pin and 4 pin fan connectors it has. All the website says is:

2 x system fan headers
1 x power fan header

Any idea which one is 3 pin, 4 pin.

Thanks in advance :)

Not really, look at this picture: http://imgur.com/a/CYFhe

The two fan connectors marked in red are 4 pin, but one is the CPU Fan header so that doesn't count as a "usable" fan header because it will be required for the CPU heatsink.

The other 2 marked in blue are 3 pin connectors.

Hey!
Looking at a picture of it, it appears all fan headers on it are 4-pin, and backwards compatible with 3-pin fan connectors.
Basically, any 3 or 4 pin fan you attach will work fine. The plastic tab on the connectors guides the fan cable onto the right pins.

And don't worry, the question isn't actually stupid!

Edit: The CPU fan and System fan headers are 4 pin, but the Power fan header is just 3-pin. This 3 pin is on the right hand side of the motherboard, the other two are located near top left.
