I have an AMD A10-7870k and I recently bought a GTX 950 and so far it doesn't quite perform the way that i have seen in benchmarks and changing resolutions and settings gets me maybe 10 fps more no matter what i change!!! could this be my APU Bottlenecking the full potential of my GTX 950? should i get a new cpu instead of keeping the APU?

The AMD APUs are not that strong of CPUs for gaming. There is a good possibility you are bottlenecking. One thing that I would check is to make sure you have the newest drivers installed for your video card, also check your temps on your CPU and GPU to make sure you aren't thermal throttling. If you are getting too hot, I would upgrade the CPU heatsink/fan and increase the fan speed on the GPU.
