My budget AMD gaming build is really starting to show its age in CPU demanding games. I'd like to switch over to a Intel CPU but reuse as much as I can from my current system. Most of the games I play are older titles although I'd like to be able to run BF1. My budget right now is $750

My current system
Amd FX-6300
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S3
8gb Crucial DDR3 1333
SanDisk Plus 240GB SSD
500gb Hitachi Deskstar HDD
Gigabyte AMD 7950 3GB
AZZA Orion 202 EVO ATX mid tower case.
Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W PSU

My plan is to upgrade the motherboard/cpu/ram for now. Then upgrade the gpu and rest later on. I've been out of the scene for awhile so I really don't know where to start from. Thanks for the help.

This is what I would do if you want to upgrade it. This leaves you quite a bit of leverage if you want to chang some things, or if you need to buy from local/more expensive retailers. The reason I included the 1060 is because that old AMD card simply Isn't enough. The newer 1060 will do you good.

If you want to replace your PC, here is what I would do: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/mqQx2R As with above, you will have the same budget freedom to do as you like, but all in all that is a solid build. -PCth
