Hello Peeps!

I have a Lenovo y700-14ISK laptop, it is nice and fast with 16ram & SSD. BUT the nternet is only OK fast. It only has an Intel AC 3165 Wifi card. that is a 1x1 card. Is there any noticeable improvement by upgrading it to another 1 x1? I don't think it is possible to add an 2x2 since it is born with an 1x1 card.
Any upgrades that are worth doing :)

I decide not to use outside dongles through sim card... :)

Solution
The AC 3165 is decent dual band card, Im sure their are better out there, but Im not sure if it will noticable, If you are lagging or such, I would look else where, interference, how many other wireless devices do you have, Connect to the 5ghz band on your router if possible to eliminate most interference issues.

Also What speed do you pay for, can you hook up with an Ethernet wire and test the internet speed, then disconnect the cord and run the same speedtest on wifi, are they close tot he same or are the drastically different.

Thanks for answer. I got a new laptop, because of some issues with the old one. I got a Lenovo W540 with a 2x2, but mostly I find that the speed was limited by the router and internet connection and not the speed of the Wifi card.
