Ati Radeon HD4850 artifacts on boot

Hello everyone... today I experienced a crash while I was playing csgo. Artifacts suddenly appeared and crashed my computer... I restarted using the front connectors and when I entered windows 8 boot there's 2 lines of artifacts or crazy colors.. I let them be and continue the boot and ended up with a blue screen with tons of artifacts on the screen.

My specs are

Intel Core 2 Duo E4600
2GB DDR2 Kingston
250GB Hard drive
MSI P31 Neo2
XFX Radeon HD4850
AVF 650W PSU
Anything I miss?

Any help is appreciated.

Initial reaction: your graphics card may be dying.

At the very least, check if the graphics card has become loose (this happened to me once) and see whether problem persists in safe mode.
