LOL. CS:GO's gona replace minesweeper!
The VR is the "future" of gaming sort of. But only for I'd say the next 20ish years, then we'll have another technological revolution for gaming.

That's a tough thing to imagine, but it is a very interesting topic.
There are many possibilities, one of them is VR without headsets using 3d projection. Another one is gaming on the go with extensive use of server streaming, which is games being run on servers and streamed to your devices. I always imagined playing fifa or PES on a big table with 3d projected stadiums and players.

50-100 years? Wow. That's almost impossible to say.
For one, I believe we'll go FAR FAR beyond virtual reality as we have it today. If tech keeps progressing as fast as it is now, we'll be doing exactly what the Matrix demonstrates with biological computers in by 2100.
Then again, the flying car was supposedly predicted to be here by now. So who knows.

Gaming in the future, the only thing I know for sure, is that it will be awesome. With the speed tech is advancing, I truly believe that 50 - 100 years is near impossible to predict with the exception being CoD will be the same, and people will likely still be playing CS:GO.

Probably the near full immersion VR you see in anime like Sword Art Online, minus the actual brain jacking in feature.
In 50 years we'll probably have the peripherals developed to allow full body control and responsiveness from a virtua reality game.
