xfx international warranty

I live in India and I am planning to buy the xfx rx 480.problem is,i went to the xfx site and saw that the warranty page has mentioned warranty conditions for only the continent of americas.I am planning to buy it from newegg.Does anyone has experience or info on the same.What kind of international warranty does it have?

I have of course contacted xfx guys,but they will take tome to reply.In the meantime i just want some info on this

yeah they donrt sell xfx.msi gaming x is my next choice ,if the xfx warranty is not there for india,might go for the msi

Hello,

Our Warranty in India can vary be region and retailer. I would contact the vendor and ask them what the manufacturer warranty is, or what they cover locally before purchasing. In North America, we have a very broad warranty for all states and Canada, but other countries and regions in that country sometimes vary. Start at the retailer, see what warranty they promise, and what the manufacturer will backup if they go out of business (which is sometimes common in certain regions). Thank you

Thanks man.Its newegg tho.In their warranty page they have provided links to the site and nothing else.Newegg standard warranty applies,like refund and return within 30 days(nothing more then that?idk ill check again).I tried speaking with a rep from newegg and she just gave me the link to the xfx support site.I have also left message for the xfx customer service,havent heard from them.Will try to contact newegg again,as you said,and I have heard that xfx warranty outside americas depends on the retailer.

Lets see if I can find out something

Thanks for the reply.This is my scenario .. i buy the card from Amazon.com(USA) sold by Amazon.
I get the card imported to India.If the card goes bad within the warranty period,who im i supposed to contact and will i get the warranty from India?

I had opened a ticket on your XFX support ticket system and there has been no reply for days.
Im going to get an EVGA,they provide the best support and you can get international warranty from them.

If you bought it in North America from XFX USA, that's where our branch covers our warranty. XFX Asia covers India. If you bought it in japan, then moved back to Peru, then demanded a warranty half way around the world it would be the same argument. Buy products in your region so your warranty can be covered there in that region. Shipping within my region is anywhere from $6 to $25. If i ship to India, it will be $40+ minimum, not to mention customs and hassles along the way. If you buy locally, you can avoid that.

Well EVGA has international warranty.You just need to ship it to taiwan,they will happily ship it back .I'm happy to get an XFX from India.BUT CARDS ARE OVERPRICED BY AROUND $200-NOT JUST XFX ALMOST ALL BRANDS.I CANNOT FIND AN XFX CARD ANYWHERE.IM HAPPY TO PAY FOR IF YOU CAN GET ME AN RX 480 8GB IN INDIA.
ON AMAZON IT COSTS $200 something ...when you try to get it in India ... It will cost the double.
Why spend more???
