So i'm soon getting a fiber connection to my house and going to get 1000mbps subscription.

My house is 3 floor and in each floor i need a AP, now the security between each floor doesn't matter so i doesn't matter if it create a network for each floor or not, the media converter is going to be in the first floor and 3 cat6 cables are already wired into each floor.

Now my question is what do i need for equipment to get 1000mbps speed without having any issues?

My ISP provides me with 2 public IPs

Thanks in advance

Solution

Watch the attitude, or people will read your responses and not bother.

A simple 4 port GBe switch/hub will allow you connect all 3 cat6 cables to the router...
You simply place a ap or router running as a AP on each floor. You will never get even close to 1g on any form of wireless. You need to stay with ethernet connected devices to get your maximum speed. You can though use extra ports on your "ap" to plug pc into on each floor.

I know i'm not going to get 1gbps speed on wireless but you don't get my point the media converter only gives me 2 public IPs so i can't connect more then 2 routers to or even if i did im going to get double NAT so please if you dont know what you are talking about don't reply thank you

A simple 4 port GBe switch/hub will allow you connect all 3 cat6 cables to the router, the public IPs are externally facing (hence the term public).

You do you really need wireless on each floor, one in the middle might do.

What are you calling a media converter.

There is nothing wrong with your answer... other than the question.

Sorry, but am if connect a switch to the media converter (Fiber box) and then connect 3 routers to each floor i will get double net and i dont want that

Didn't mean to select it as best answer.

Really simple:

Fibre box to switch, switch to 3 cables - cables to access points - devices to access points, perhaps cables to more switches to enable hardwired devices on each floor.

Access points are not routers, they do not create new networks only access to an existing network (as set up by your router/fibre box), so you have 1 network not double net (whatever that is).
