Hello,

Im playing CS GO mainly, right now I have that i5 3330 as you can see in pics, and im getting on average 180 fps in 5v5. I want to go over 350 fps on average in 5v5 so im mostly looking to upgrade my CPU. Im not very experienced but I think if I want to ugprade some good CPU I need also new cooler or motherboard? Im total newb and thats why Im here. So please help me.

My budget: 500$

You dont need a cooler with this. The stock one which comes with the chip is plenty. However for better cooling you can add the one listed along.

Well you have 2 options. 1 is a new video card, and #2 is a system upgrade.

For a video card since you are only running 1080p I'd get a Radeon RX480 8GB or a GTX 1060 6GB. Both are in the same ballpark price wise. If your monitor was a freesync the RX480 would be the easy choice, but it's just 144Hz so either video card works. Right now you have a Radeon 7700 series so even the RX480 would be a major upgrade. The 1060 is faster in DX11 games, the RX480 in DX12 games.

The next option would be a system upgrade. Hellfire13 posted a half decent upgrade.

Personally I'd think the I5 3330 still works. I'd maybe try to get another 4GB of RAM to get by for now and get the video card to start. An RX480 is around $240 for the 8GB version. The $250 saved can be put aside until you save enough for a full upgrade.

3rd option is crazy but trying to do both. Lets see if it's possible.

So for $500 you can get a full system plus video card. The 4GB RX480 is fine for 1080p. Just some information, the k series CPU hellfire speced is nice but doesn't include a heatsink. The I5 I choose comes with one so it keeps the price down. Intel doesn't need much cooling anyways so the Intel heatsink is plenty. And yes with these new CPUs you need a new motherboard to support the new socket, and also new DDR4 RAM.

There was an RX480 for $20 less but I choose the Sapphire as they are regarded as the best Radeon cards.

Thank you so much for ur effort! My monitor is BenQ 2411z series, really really good one. But as I said Im playing CS:GO and for my FPS only thing what matter is CPU I think. So I would rather go with Hellfire's CPU, because he has listed much stronger CPU. Btw Hellfire can I overclock that CPU? To like 4.6GHz or something?

It was decent enough to answer the query as OP did not ask for the gpu initially. However if going for a gpu as well, then the configuration has to come down. The i5-6400 is not a good cpu as it is outperformed by the i3-6100 in quite a few games. There are reviews and benchmarks all over the web regarding that. Either go for the i3-6100 or the i5-6500. However, with your budget, this should be your build.

You cannot overclock the i7-6700 as it is not an unlocked(non K/X) chip. For overclcoking this should be your configuration.

So which processor is stronger? i7 6700 one or this i5 6600K? I need strong CPU. CS:GO is heavily CPU related so the stronger CPU the more fps. If I buy i5 and overclock it is it stronger than this i7? thx

That is a very complicated question to answer actually. To answer in one line, the 6700 is better at multi threaded applications where as 6600 is also good enough. But current games do not use more cores than 2 or 3 at max. Lets get some facts straight here. You want csgo to be rendering ultra. Assuming that you have a decent(gtx 1060 3gb equivalent) video card, even a i3-6100 can push it towards highest.
But over here we need to consider best value for money if you are looking higher than what i mentioned above. i5-6600k is quad core without hyper threading. whereas i7-6700 is quad core with hyper threading. Which means, the 6600k has 4 logical cores where as the 6700 has 8 logical cores. The flip side is 6700 stays at 4ghz flat whereas the 6600k can go above that but cannot give you more cores. Now, most current games are more single core stressed than multi core. So logically even a 6600k without hyper threading and non over clocked can push it ultra. But even 6600k is more than you need here.
If you just want to max out csgo then a i5-6500 will be more than sufficient paired with a decent gpu.
What graphics card do you have currently???

My graphic card is AMD Radeon 7700 HD Series. Could you please open first two images for take a closer look of my PC? I took it from DXDIAG both system and display. But I heard even if I buy the best graphic card out there its not gona boost FPS in cs:go if I dont have good CPU??? I googled a lot and many said it. Can you please check it also? Thank you so much again for effort! I really dont wanna mess up and, just wanna buy the best for 500$, thanks for helping me.

I think your cpu is fine, your gpu might be holding back the performance. That i5 is still strong enough to run csgo pretty smoothly, unless there is some other issue with your cpu. Cant say the same about the card though as its quite aged now.
Couple of things i would recommend you to do before making a purchase. Monitor your cpu temps while gaming and also try another(better) gpu to see how it performs paired with the 3330. If you dont have another gpu, u can borrow from a friend/family or visit a professional store in your vicinity and ask them to test it for you. I am sure they wont charge anything for testing.
